Zolile Petshane (b. 1973) is an abstract artist living and working in Kathlehong, near Johannesburg. After studying printmaking at the Artist Proof Studio, he completed an Advanced Diploma in Fine Arts at the University of the Witwatersrand in 2007 under the supervision of Prof. Karel Nel.

Known for his richly layered abstract compositions, Petshane uses colour, texture, marks, symbols, and fragments of text to explore themes of memory, politics, belief systems, and lived experience. Working across pastel, acrylic, and mixed media, his work balances vibrant energy with thoughtful structure and depth.

Petshane has exhibited widely both locally and internationally, and his work is represented in numerous private and corporate collections, including the permanent collection of the Johannesburg Art Gallery.
