Bio

Annemarié Coertse holds BA and LLB degrees and is an admitted attorney based in Rivonia, Johannesburg. Alongside her legal career, she has cultivated a deep passion for botanical art. She is a member of the Botanical Artists Association of Southern Africa and has exhibited her work both locally and internationally.

Currently studying under Ann Harris-Deppe, Annemarié explores the intricate challenges of botanical subject matter through the delicate medium of watercolour. Her work reflects a desire to capture and celebrate the quiet beauty of the natural world.

In 2025, Annemarié translated her artworks into fabric and wallpaper through Fabric Bank—an experience that expanded her creative practice into the world of textile design. As a third-generation textile artist, fabric has always remained a guiding thread in her journey, influencing her work across wearable art, interiors, and everyday objects.

This is a collection inspired by nature’s rich diversity—from seed pods and fallen feathers to the vibrant symphony of blooming flora. Each piece captures a sense of wonder, bringing moments of joy and discovery into everyday spaces.
