I am compelled to explore a diverse range of artistic mediums, including oil pastels, oil paint, acrylics, inks, gouache, and ceramics. My creative process is deeply influenced by the interplay of colour, texture, and pattern, with nature serving as a constant source of inspiration.
Additionally, I find inspiration in various art forms such as tapestry, embroidery, murals, architecture, and printing techniques. The breadth of artistic expression continually fuels my creativity.
This particular piece represents the fusion of two distinct bodies of work. It draws inspiration from ancient Uzbek Suzani tapestries and the practice of pressing and framing flowers alongside botanical prints. I chose to use a vibrant neon palette contrasted with an Yves Klein blue background to create a modern twist and make the flowers stand out strikingly.
