Joy is the head designer, as she would say the "design bender" of Zuri and Imani.

Joy is inspired by elements of lines, shapes, colour and patterns unique to different African regions. She creates designs rooted in the African context.

Her designs evoke emotions of joy, happiness, trust and acceptance.

 

Fabric, wallpaper and leather are her preferred mediums .
