My name is Seboni Abner Makgamatha better known as “Sir Abner”. I’m a visual graphic artist living, working and playing in the city of Johannesburg, and I create in the field of fashion and textiles as a Art Director for David Tlale Couture and David by David Tlale diffusion line.

I am also creator and founder of “Kimon Sam” alongside my life partner and photographer Katlego Idah Mamabolo – Content driven platform that features a collaboration of both our body of work in graphic design, fashion and style, print surface design and photographic novel all summed up into a visual Kult re-design respectively.

Every artist never stops paying his or her dues and I’ve had quiet a humbling journey to this point in my life. Being able to create or evoke feelings that people can relate to through any of the human senses has always been my ultimate aspiration and the joy they get from it my inspiration.

Having said that, it’s the power of the “collective collaboration” that has seen me evolve as an artist first through all my trials and career.  Starting of in retail as visual merchandiser and a freelance graphic designer which was a lead and realization into the zeitgeist of fashion meets visual arts and how the two extended each other in an array of genres such as graphic design, typography, interior and textile design, and even the art of distinguishing “fashion and style” respectively.

After completing my degree in Multimedia Design I soon discovered that I wanted to do work that would combine all the fundamentals that I had learned to apply to my design aesthetic. Coupled with the minimal exposure I received through visual merchandising, working as part of the creativity supply chain in the fashion and textile industry seem to do just that…
